date planning

I have a confession. I am a workaholic. I eat, breathe, and sleep My Fab Finance.

As a newlywed, that doesn’t always go over well with my husband. We’ve realized just how important it is to set aside time and carve out boundaries for our marriage

Last month we discovered a date planning service called Date Nite Box. While I love a good bargain I also believe in convenience and quality time. Date Nite Box is a date planning subscription service. Date Nite Box plans out date nights for couples that are unique, creative and fun; packaged and shipped out monthly. Their goal is to keep date night stress free, novel, fun and exciting!

Now if you’re like me, date planning always begins with excitement, but it’s easy to fall into a rut and end up at your typical restaurant. We loved the idea of having someone else plan a date for us, allowing us to do things together that we wouldn’t typically plan and working with the Date Nite team was a pleasure. After my husband and I had to reschedule our first date due to a last minute speaking engagement, the Date Nite Box team worked with us to quickly find a replacement.

Our Date Nite Box Tin

Our tickets arrived in a cute tin box with a sensual gift along with love coupons.

Leading up to the date we received e-mail reminders and notifications which were really helpful. Going on the date was so effortless and we felt like giddy teenagers awaiting our adventure.

Our date began at 3:00pm with a food tour of the Greenwich Village section of New York City. During the tour we learned fun facts about the neighborhood. We sampled some of the best eats New York had to offer including:

  • Authentic Tuscan style thin-crust pizza from Bleecker St Pizza, coined ‘The best pizza in NYC!’ Authentic Italian Arancini balls from Deli Faicco’s
  • Coffee from Coffee Porto Rico Importing Co. which is known for serving the finest coffees in the world since 1907
  • Bagels from Bagel’s on the Square
  • Cupcakes At Molly’s Cupcakes where we created our very own cupcake.
  • And Falafel from Mamoun’s Falafel (which is ironically where we grabbed a bite to eat on our first date.)

But that wasn’t it.

They also planned a date for us that evening. We returned home to clean up and headed to Octoberfeast in Williamsburg Brooklyn. There we listened to classic German tunes, drank delicious spiked cider and our tickets came with the Wurst Platter which included classic german sausages, pretzel and Spaetzle.

We definitely wouldn’t have booked this part of the date on our own, but it was so fun to do something different in our own backyard.

Our date was valued at $200 and the package we received cost $160 a month. They also offer two less expensive packages that are which range in frequency. If I knew about Date Nite box before my wedding I would have asked for it as a wedding gift. Love is invaluable. Date Nite Box allowed us to let our hair down, not think about our businesses and focus on enjoying each other.

If you’re looking for a gift to give your loved one or your favorite couple this holiday season, I’d highly suggest considering Date Nite Box. Oh! And I was able to negotiate something special for My Fab Finance readers. Enter promo code FABDATE at checkout to receive $25 Cash Back inside your first box.  While you won’t receive a discount upon purchase, you will receive a $25 cash back rebate check inside your box when it arrives.

The promo will expire Dec 31st, 2016.

Happy Love, Dating, and Holidays!

Disclosure: I received this product/service in exchange for a review. But I would never recommend anything that I felt went against the mission of My Fab Finance and the well-being of my readers.
