Go to a place where you’re not going to be stressed, because a honeymoon itself can be a stressful thing. You have to stay true to your heritage; that’s what your brand is about. I have my favourite fashion decade, yes, yes, yes: ’60s. It was a sort of little revolution; the clothes were amazing but not too exaggerated. I remember walking the dog one day, I saw a car full of teenage girls, and one of them rolled down the window and yelled, ‘Marc Jacobs!’ in a French accent. Fashion should be fun. It shouldn’t be labelled intellectual. Read More
It’s hard to balance everything. It’s always challenging. I have a fantastic relationship with money. I use it to buy my freedom. A woman is never sexier than when she is comfortable in her clothes. The market is like a language, and you have to be able to understand what they’re saying. First I made a dress because I was pregnant and I wanted to be the most beautiful pregnant woman. It has been an exciting week!
So exciting that we delayed the release of this week’s Talk Money With Tonya.
This week I sat down with hair chemist and beauty shaman, Oraje Nfertum to discuss natural hair care on a budget. Although my hair is straightened in my banner photo, I am natural and have been since 2010. My natural hair journey has been FULL of trial and error, products that didn’t live up to their reputation, and an overall need to re-familiarize myself with my hair texture and the best way to care for my hair.
If you are interested in going natural, are a new natural, or are even a seasoned natural, do yourself a favor and check out this fun interview I did with fellow Gemini, Mr. Oraje Nefertum.
