Once upon a time yours truly couldn’t qualify for a reputable credit card. After I began my journey and began turning my finances around, the flow of pre-approval letters were endless. This is probably happening to you if you’ve recently improved the state of your finances.

It’s easy to be tempted by the offers. But responsible users of credit are not just responsible with their usage of credit, they are also responsible with their ownership of credit cards.

Readers who utilize credit, often ask me how many credit cards they should have in order to improve or maintain a good credit score. I answer this frequently asked question in this week’s Talk Money With Tonya.

Enjoy!

And remember, credit cards aren’t the culprit, it’s the owner’s behaviors that make them bad.
